Planes Wooden (or almost)
Screw Arm Plow Plane - Sandusky #119. Toted beech body, boxwood arms. Arms are in perfect condition, not a single thread chipped, and they are not warped. Only small visible flaw is that the wood has shrunk away a little around the depth stop adjuster. Depth stop has side locking screw. Good user. Comes with 1/2" iron. $140.00 My choice of 2 additional irons $150.00
J & L. Denison Match T&G (two planes). 7/8 Good shape $50.00 pair
Sandusky Complex Molder #82. 1 1/4 Ogee. Has a small chip off the back of the depth stop and some body checking, but with a good sharpening, will be a nice user. $45.00
Hollows: Moon (1820's English) #8 (7/16) Cabinet Pitch, Miller (1840's English) #10 (11/16) Cabinet Pitch and a Mathieson skew hollow (regular pitch), #12 (13/16). All need some sharpening, otherwise good. $18.00each or $45.00 for all three.
Josiah King Toothing Plane. Coffin bodied (7") with a 2" iron. AWP "D" mark. Good shape, small cheek crack but holds the wedge. $50.00
Sargert #673 7/8 Tongue Match Plane $16.00
John Denison Saybrook, 1/2 Match Tongue Plane. Good shape, good -looks.$20.00
Infill Straight Rabbet. 1 1/2. Same shape as a regular wooden rabbet. The sole is cast iron with cheeks coming up on both sides. The plane is filled with mahogany and the maker used rosewood to fill the sides flush with the casting. There is a crack at the top of the one cheek (not unusual according to one of the English folks at Brown's), but does not affect the usability of the plane. The wedge is rosewood and missing a slinter off the back. Stamped on both sides of the wedge is the name F. W. Greenhill, on the toe, J. W. Standing. Greenhill appears to be the earlier mark and possibly the maker. $110.00 --- NOW $80.00
Other Tools of Interest
From the never ending supply...Stanley Rule & Level 10" Adjustable Bevel $12.00 Nice shape.
Barking Spud (NO potato jokes, pleeze!) Hand forged with original handle rived to iron. Nice primitive piece. $50.00
Froe. One and one only. 14" hand forged blade, tapers from 2 to 2 3/8. 16 1/2 Handle. Edge was last sharpened by drawing (hammering out), so it's a little wavy. Still a nice piece. $45.00
Cobblestone Hammer. Looks like a rock hammer on steroids. Hand forged, 13 3/4 overall length, 4 1/4 octogon head, 7 3/4 tail. Handle a newer replacement. Very unique piece. $35.00
Have lots of good drawknives, try squares, marking gauges, light on chisels, but that always changes, etc.
