Dear Friends,

After 38+ years at Carnegie Mellon I have decided to retire this summer (2019).

It has been a great ride but I want to spend my time with my grandchildren and I want to be able to do what I want when I want. There is no drama in my decision. I am leaving CMU on my own terms.

Right now, I don't have any plans. Come this summer I am just going to relax, take it easy, and smell the roses.
