LTI 11-744 is a seminar on selected topics in statistical natural language processing. The topics covered will include statistical parsing, generative vs. discriminative modeling for NLP, rate distortion theory and text classification, the language modeling approach to information retrieval, and other topics according to the interests of the participants.
