Here are several sequences of images that utilize the Dolly Zoom technique. The first two are of the same subject in the same location; the difference is that in the first the camera was moved while the subject remained stationary and in the second the camera remained stationary while the subject moved.

The camera used for all sequences was a Canon Powershot S3 IS. The locations were various places around campus and are listed in more detail below.

The chief difficulty encountered was in finding a subject which could be approached along a flat plane from some substantial distance. Another problem that occured with interior sequences was that the distance to the subject for the small FOV shots was too great for a flash to be effective. This, combined with the high levels of zoom needed for these shots, made it difficult to produce non-blurry images.

Wean Stairwell

Subject: The Wean 400 Corridor Stairwell

Location: Wean

This is a sequence of four shots taken from the 8th through 5th floor landings of the stairwell. I wasn't sure if the previous two sequences counted as two or as one with a variation, so this one has been included just in case.
