Jianing Hu

2nd year Ph.D. candidate
Computer Science Department
Carnegie Mellon University

I'm a second-year graduate student of Department of Computer Science. My advisor is David Garlan. I'm now a member of the ABLE group.

Research Interests:

I'm interested in software architecture, especially in architecture based software development methods, architecture refinement, and architecture based software engineering tools. I'm also interested in the application of software architecture methods in the real world. After all that's what our research is for.

Projects:

A mapping extension to our ADL: Acme. Your comments will be greatly appreciated.

Consistency checking between system views

An experimental Incast architecture -- course project for 15-744.

End-to-end research validation -- course project for 15-839

JFS, a Jini File System -- course project for 15-711

Host Distance Estimation Using Artificial Neural Network -- course project for 15-781

Teaching:

I'm a TA of 15-441 Computer Networks for the Spring 2000 semester. Here's a pointer to my lecture slides on security tools and firewalls.
