Via Alex

Use these by preference. To save on massive FTPs, the files are accessed via /alex, which must be mounted using the mountalex command (as rootl) on your workstation. If you can't do that, use the pointers under "Via ftp".

  • The player,mpeg_play, xmosaic uses to play mpegs
  • Some movies.

    • Via RFS (/../)

    Use these by preference if Alex isn't mounted on your machine. To save on massive FTPs, the files are accessed via /../alex. If you can't do that, use the pointers under "Via ftp". This access method has not been tested, since facilities have not seen fit to port rfs to the IBM RS6000.
