I don't measure...) * = optional Saute' the mushrooms and garlic in some of the butter, if you're using them. Melt the rest of the butter, and remove from heat. Stir in the cheese and the cream, as well as the mushrooms and garlic if appropriate, and bring it just to a boil over low heat, stirring often. Toss with warm noodles and serve.
