- Two exams are scheduled for the course:
- Exam 1: Wed Feb 27
- Coverage: Lectures up through Friday, Feb. 22
- Study aids:
- Be sure you have studied and understand the official solutions to the exercises.
- Here is a practice exam, based on
questions from previous exams, and here is the solution.
These are only a representative sample of the types of problems you may encounter.
- Exam 2: Mon Apr 15
- Coverage: All lectures through Wednesday, April 3, with emphasis on material covered since Monday, Feb. 25.
- Study aids:
- Review the problems of exercises 4 and 5 and their solutions carefully.
- Here is a practice exam, based on
questions from previous exams.

These are only a representative sample of the types of problems you may encounter.
- All exams are closed book, closed notes.
- However, you may bring one (1) double-sided 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of notes,
which can be handwritten or machine-printed.
- You may also bring blank scratch paper, but you are not permitted
to use a calculator or any other electronic aid.
