Choosing A Project

We encourage you to try to come up with your own ideas for projects, since this helps to make things more exciting. If you have an idea for a project, please discuss it with Prof. Mowry to get some feedback on it. To get a sense of the appropriate scope of a project, you might want to look at the web pages for Berkeley's graduate architecture course from last year: here were their final projects as well as some suggested projects. (Since this is our first year to include class projects in this course, we do not have a similar history to draw upon yet.)

One way to get ideas for projects is to talk to local faculty and research groups who are doing research on architecture. Here are some potential projects that were suggested either by local people or by people in industry:
