What have you learned in this project?

Besides the sheer fulfillment of helping people meet their old friends, another motivation for this page is keeping my hands wet in Web page design and maintenance. Here are some of the less obvious facts I've learned.

• Po-Hi has a large number of very charitable people who make the alumni programs work. This is evidenced by the enthusiasm of many alums for this page. Thank you for your support!
• Any sufficiently large group of users has a few genuine nuisances, even if drawn from such a wonderful population as the Po-Hi alumni. Witness the problems with maintaining biographical information on the alumni.
• Web-page creation takes the talent of a journalist. Few people read more than a few sentences. They don't follow instructions. They have no attention span. This is why I'm stopping here.
