SolidWorks, draftsight, and laser-cutting were used to create a simple star map out of acrylic. The users of the star map can look for constellations on the top surface. The users can then pull out the first level of the star map to see what patterns are visible on the top surface. The first level also allows users to test whether or not they know the name of the constellations. Lastly, the second level can be completely pulled out and the space at the bottom can be used as storage space for small objects.
