46-927 Assignment #3

Starting Materials:

For this assignment, you will need to download several files and put them in the same directory on your machine. This should be your working directory for the assignment.

The Assign3.java file and the support files are available via FTP at /afs/andrew.cmu.edu/course/46/927/Assign3/.
Assign3.java contains templates for the simple_expansion and path_validation methods.

These classes include:

• MapValues (see MapValues.java -- an interface that provides useful constants)
• CityMap (see CityMap.java -- provides the map simulator)
• CityInfo (see CityInfo.java -- internal class for map simulator)
• MapException (see MapException.java -- exception for the CityMap operations)
• Path_element (see Path_element.java -- holds a single element of path information)

If you need a copy of the JDK, a copy can be downloaded from www.javasoft.com.
