I have some hints at

They are sufficient to build on SunOS 4 with a nearly unmodified 17f tree
(the modification are on this WWW page, too).

Paul Werkowski did something similar, but he uses his own directory
structure. See http://www.mv.com/users/pw/lisp/index.html
