Up: Learning from Case Failure
Previous: Constructing Reasons for Retrieval
A preliminary study
was conducted with the aim of demonstrating
the advantage of storing and retrieving cases on the
basis of experienced retrieval failure.
Domains were chosen in which
randomly generated problems contained negatively interacting goals, and
planning performance was tested when DERSNLP+EBL was solving multi-goal
problems from scratch and through replay of single cases covering
a smaller subset of goals. Replay performance
was tested
both with and without case failure information.
