SEMANTIC
CONSTRAINTS :
Check adjacency
|
Overview
This check is used to check compound nouns which are connected with the property relation. Compound nouns must be adjacent to each other.
Proposal
Proposed for all fuses. (can't remember why it isn't proposed only if the assigner's external role has the must-be-adjacent annotation.
Implementation
- Passed if the must-be-adjacent annotation is not on the assigner's external role or the fuse is not for the external role.
- Passed if the annotation is present on the assigner and the two words are adjacent to each other (in either order).
Example
'contact bearing 100 bullseye heading 123'. The semantic lexical entry for bullseye has the annotation must-be-adjacent which prevents bullseye assigning an external fuse to bearing but allows an external fuse to heading. (Because bullseye and heading are adjacent while bullseye and bearing are not.)
