Hints:

Use the HLA documents to get a flavor for the kind of issue being addressed by the architecture. Pay attention to the form of the specification of the architecture, and note the various kinds of "rules" that are intended for use of the HLA.

Questions:

  1. Describe some of the degrees of "interoperability" in the HLA.

  2. What is the main function of the HLA?

  3. What is the HLA mechanism for establishing agreement about the nature of the data to be exchanged at runtime. Is the specific format for this agreement prescribed by the HLA?

  4. Does the HLA store the objects that are being simulated?
