Cultural Studies of Science and Technology

This page is devoted to the cultural studies of science and technology, i.e. the understanding of the mutual relations between culture and science and technology. This is a tremendously interesting area but not without its controversies, owing to the vastly differing worldviews various interested parties bring to the table (cf. the Science Wars). My personal feeling is that an understanding of the relation between culture and science can be helpful to both scientists and humanists and highly rewarding to those who have the courage to venture into this sometimes caustic and generally stimulating area.
