Where I bask in the outdoors while muttering evil comments about my fellow humans clogging the planet

I have to admit I have a little bit of the enviro-fascist in me. What? You don't recycle? You drive 5 minutes to work instead of biking? You shop for FUN?! Well, you just about gave me an apoplectic fit. If that didn't describe you, maybe you will enjoy some of the following links.

  • Live in the Pittsburgh area? Then have I got a great vacation tip for you!! Take the train to Connellsville, PA. There, you walk to the bike shop and rent a bicycle. Take the Youghiogheny River Trail down to Ohiopyle and camp, or go on to Confluence and enjoy a fine stay at the The Point Guest Rooms. Take a day or two or three to go hiking and rafting around Ohiopyle (try Youghiogheny Outfitters, Wilderness Voyageurs, or Laurel Highlands River Tours), or look for things more up to your speed at the Treasures Along The Rail web site. I did it, it was great!
