The Department of Computer Science & Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for expected tenure
track positions. Applications in all areas of computer science will be considered. Salary and rank will be
commensurate with experience. Applicants must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. degree in
computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related area before assuming duties. Excellence in
research and teaching is required. Candidates for senior positions must have an established research
reputation supported by a substantial record of publications. Openings are expected for August 1997.

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering maintains a Computer Systems Laboratory
consisting of a distributed system of SUN and DEC workstations and fileservers (all running UNIXª).
