Instruments, Nortel, Alcatel, Ericsson, DSC, Nokia, Fujitsu, MCI,
EDS, and Perot Systems. Almost all of the country's leading
telecommunication's companies have major research and
development facilities in our neighborhood. Opportunities for joint
university-industry research projects and consulting are excellent.

In addition to individual faculty member workstations, the department
has six computer/research laboratories, equipped with high
performance workstations and highend PCs. The Academic
Computer Center supports both UNIX based workstations and PC.
Computers on campus are connected via Ethernet and have access
to Internet. Students and faculty have dial-in access to campus
          computing facilities.

Currently the Computer Science department has thirteen
tenured/tenure-track faculty and five senior lecturers. The potential
