Washington College announces a tenure track position at the assistant professor level beginning in late August, 1997. Applicants must show a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level and to ongoing professional development. The duties include teaching throughout the undergraduate computer science curriculum, assisting in curriculum development, and teaching some mathematics courses. A Ph.D. in computer science or the equivalent is required. A background in theoretical computer science is preferred.

Washington College is a four year liberal arts college located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and is within 80 miles of Washington, DC, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. The enrollment is approximately 1000 students. Computing is highly distributed, highly networked, used by almost all students. Those who take computing include many liberal arts students as well as those intending to major in math or science.
