Campus network distributed via fiber plant and cabling system:
Fiber connects most buildings to CYH hub; recent

Fiber terminates in building's cabling system BEF, building network distributed from BEF to IDFs to offices
Core of campus network is 2 Cisco 7000 routers (collapsed backbones), (30 + 12) 10Mbit/sec ethernet interfaces, 22/10 interfaces in use
Both route IPX (Novell), AppleTalk, bridge IP and all other protocols
Ethernet segments connect on/off-campus building networks, fileserver networks, routed departmental networks
Variety of supported media:
10BASE-T, 10BASE-2, LattisNET 10Mbit/sec ethernet
4 Mbit/sec tokenring (phase out: 12/31/96)
230kbit/sec LocalTalk (MACs)
