Information about sports programming on Fox. This page is pretty sad, as I don't have
a lot of information, and I'm not really sure what to do with it, but here it is anyway.
If anyone has a list of the 95–96 NHL games that Fox is broadcasting, I'd like a copy of it.
General
- In 1993, the NFL granted Fox four-year broadcast rights to the National
Football Conference. Broadcast began with the 1994–5 season.
- In 1994, the NHL granted Fox a five-year contract. Broadcast began with the 94–95
season.
- During Fall of 1995, Fox has Saturday Night Fights Boxing
- In 1996, MLB granted Fox a five-year contract. Broadcast began with the 1996 season.
- NASCAR and Fox Sports have entered into an 8-year agreement,
effective with the 2001 TV season. Fox will air the Daytona 500
in 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2007. Fox will have the rights to the first
half of the 2001 season, starging with the Daytona 500. Fox will
broadcast a majority of the NASCAR Winston Cup events, and some of the
NASCAR Busch Series. Remainging events will be broadcast on the FX
cable channel. The second half of the 2001 season will air on NBC Sports
and Turner Sports.
