Abstract
Two problems plague my thesis research, few data points and viability
issues across organizations. Although essential, empirical validation
of design methods is not easy. My problems are not unique in software
engineering research, especially software design research. I seek
help in the research methods of social scientists, organizational
behaviorists, and design researchers and I believe that their research
methods will improve the empirical validation techniques of other
software engineer researchers.
