Mission
The mission of the Robot Exhibition is to demonstrate state of
the art research in a less structured environment.
Details
The exhibition gives researchers an opportunity to showcase current
robotics and embodied-AI research that does not fit into the competition tasks.
- Have you wanted to bring a robot to AAAI, but don't have the
resources to devote to programming a contest entry?
- Does your robot hardware not fit into the competition tasks?
- Do you want to enter the contest, but would also like to
demonstrate the other work that you've been doing on your robot?
- Do you just want to show off your robot?
Exhibits are scheduled throughout the conference, and in addition to live
exhibits, a video proceedings is produced. The 1998 video proceedings are now available!
We welcome robot demos (scheduled or continuous), robot-oriented
software demos, posters with or without robots present, and
videos.
In an effort to increase awareness of the field, we hope
to encourage a wide variety of robots and embodied AI research.
We encourage outdoor
robots such as helicopters and autonomous vehicles, and all forms of
indoor robots including snakes, manipulators, and bipeds. Robots that
interact with crowds are also encouraged.
If it proves impossible to send your actual robot, please submit a video or
a poster. Feel free to send a video as well as a robot!
You are welcome to participate in the exhibition as well as the
competition(s).
