Xmos University Logo
[I apologize for the poor quality of this image, but it's been a few
years, and I lost the originals. BTW-- 30 T-Shirts were made with this
logo on the front. It is possible you might run into a former Blair
student who has such a shirt. Unlikely, but possible.]
Description
The logo of Xmos University contains symbols that reflect the humble
beginnings of the Poem of the Day. The magic markers are those that
were used to write the Poem of the Day on the white board in the magnet
study hall at Montgomery Blair High School. Next to the markers is an
eraser with a slash through it. This reflects the protected status of
the Poem of the Day. Mrs. Wisniewski, who was in control of the study
hall, did not let the other students erase our wonderful poems.
Beneath these symbols is the mysterious robed figure carrying a slab
with a poem on it. He represents Rev. Xmos, and the mystery around the
Rev's existence. The slab reads:
I came
I saw
I thunked
I flunked.
The poem reflects the attitude of students towards final exams. It is
fitting that such a poem be part of the logo of a university.
