This was my first Nicholas Sparks book and it was good enough to make me buy a few more of his works.

This particular book was a fairly regular story with its own shares of twists and turns. Twists and bends actually. The story is pretty simple but the main character in the book is very well handled. The variations in his moods are very well covered and reasoned.

The keywords mentioned on the right pretty much cover the theme of the book.

Sadly, the twists are pretty expected and don't necessarily add to the book's value. Yet the author's description and his handling of the light romance that the book follows is pretty impressive. That's what made me give it an above average score.

If you are in the mood for some slight drama and romance, this is a good book. But don't expect too much out of it. It doesn't deliver that much.
