A CMU technical report on the BowGo (patented) evolution will be available from this site soon. Below are some salient technical specifications for the BOWGOII:
Weight: 9 pounds
Height: 45 inches
Plunger travel: 15 inches
Max. spring force: greater than 600 pounds
Energy storage: 6000 in-pounds (lifts 150 pounds 40 inches)
Spring: unidirectional E-glass/epoxy composite
Body: Aluminum tubing, etc.
Foot: Soft rubber

The Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University was established in 1979
to conduct basic and applied research in robotics technologies. It is part of the School of Computer Science.
