Well, here's my really spiffy home page. As you can tell, updating this page is not one of my priorities. You have been warned ...
Currently, I am a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University working towards a Ph.D. in Computer Science. For more information, see my "Academic Life" page and my CV.
Here's what I believe is important:
I believe that this life is not about doing well in school,
getting rich, famous, or powerful, but rather that it is about developing
a relationship with God. The Bible tells the story of how God has time
and time again tried to reach out to us, but how we so often turned
away from Him. Christ lived, died, and rose again to open the way to
God once and for all. But God is not forceful; He will not force himself
on us. He waits for us to come to Him. Christianity is not about
a bunch of rules, about a church service, or about being good. Instead,
it is about a relationship with our Creator. Only with a growing
relationship with God does life take on eternal significance. If
this at all sparks an interest in you, please feel free to contact me
(see below). This reminds me of one of my favorite poems:
The Road of Life.
I am actively involved with Graduate Christian Fellowship (GCF), New Hope Christian Community, and Christian Student Fellowship (CSF). When I was at Purdue, I was involved with Purdue Christian Campus House.
I used to have a page of my favorite links, but I never updated it. So, instead, I will just provide a copy of my current bookmarks, but they are probably only useful to me.
Please note that I am NOT the Bryan Singer who has produced a number of movies lately.
