About

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, USA.  My Ph.D. advisors are Anthony Stentz and M. Bernardine Dias, and I am part of the rCommerce and the TechBridgeWorld research groups at Carnegie Mellon.

My current research interests are (1) planning and coordination for robotics, and (2) exploring the synergies between technology, education, and development.  I enjoy problem-solving and am passionate about technology and education.  I am excited by the prospect of a world in which people from all parts of the world, from different backgrounds and nationalities, have ample access to educational opportunities and can join the ranks of technology innovators and thus participate in the process of advancing human civilization.

I grew up and had my foundational education in Ghana and Nigeria. I then studied at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH for undergraduate and masters degrees in Computer Science and Engineering.  I returned to Ghana for a spell to teach computer science at Ashesi University, following which I came to Carnegie Mellon University to  study robotics and artificial intelligence.

On this site, you can find information about my current research interests and projects, as well as my academic publications. It also mentions talks I have given, conferences I have participated in, and other professional/academic activities I am involved in, under the nebulous title of “Other Endeavors”.
