I am an Assistant Teaching Professor at the Information Networking Institute in the College of Engineerig College of engineering at Carnegie Mellon University; a core Faculty at Carnegie Mellon Univeristy Security and Privacy Institute (CyLab) ; and I am also an affiliated faculty with the Societal Computing program.
I obtained my PhD from in Societal Computing at the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University in October 2018. In May 2011, I got my Masters degree in Information Security Technology & Management from the Information Networking Institute (INI) at Carnegie Mellon University. I have previously worked in King Abdul-Aziz University and in the banking industry.
I am interested mainly in cybersecurity education and workforce development; usable security and Privacy, secure block-chain education, security requirements engineering, and security decision-making. My work is in the intersection between security, privacy, software engineering, and Human-Computer Interaction. This research area is very interdisciplinary in nature combining theories and practices from areas like: psychology, decision science, computer security, information sciences, AI and others.
