Jessica Hodgins and her college roommate Muriel . took a trip to Hong Kong in October 2005. They found Hong Kong to be a wonderful contrast of the old and the new , the green and the concrete with energetic, crowded streets . They did the standard tourist stuff: a trip to Victoria Peak and out to Lantau Island to see the giant buddha (largest, seated, outdoor, bronze Buddha) and stumbled on some less common attractions As the story goes, this lady was so beautiful that she caused the fishes to stop swimming which seems a bit implausible.

They also took a day trip to Macau where they walked through Senator's Square past the sole remaining facade of St. Paul's , and down to Ma's Temple while avoiding the massive, hideous casinos. .
