Glow worms at the South Island Aquarium 7 February 2001 |
||||
This is a simulation of what we saw. Pretty cheesy, eh. Desperate to see glow worms and worried that we wouldn't be able to book a trip to the Waitomo Caves, we were excited to read in our guide book that the South Island Aquarium featured glow worms. At the aquarium entrance, a guide gave us a map. Carl asked where the glow worm exhibit was. The guide gave us a funny look and then explained that the worms were really tiny lights in a simulated cave. Drat! Fortunately, we would soon met wonderful Sue Heath who would show us some real glow worms up close. | ||||
