Wellington — 22 February 2001

We slept in this morning. Once out of bed, we wandered around until we found Etro Bakery & had a muffin for breakfast. We then did some light shopping and went down to the Information Centre where we picked up some lunch at Nui Expresso. We took lunch out to the civic square, where we enjoyed the tail end of a good jazz band's set. We spent the afternoon hiking up one of Wellington's great trails, taking in the birds and trees and views of the city and sea before ending up at the top of Mount Victoria. After the hike, we freshened up and went out to dinner at Pasha. After dinner, it was back to the B&B to firm up reservations in Auckland and retire for the evening.
