Takeo
Igarashi is an Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department
at the University of Tokyo.
He was a post doctoral Research Associate at Brown University Computer
Graphics Group from June 2000 - Feb 2002. He received the Ph.D from the Department of Information Engineering
at the University of Tokyo in 2000. He also worked
at Xerox PARC, Microsoft Research, and Carnegie Mellon University as a student intern. His research
interest is in user interfaces in general and his current focus is on interaction
techniques for 2D/3D graphics. He received the SIGGRAPH Significant New Researcher
Award in 2006.
