1998 Antarctic Expedition

Future Plans

In late Fall in 1998, the team will once again travel to Antarctica, this time deploying Nomad, the rover which successfully completed over 200 kilometers of traverse in the Atacama Desert in 1997. Sensors and technologies developed for the '97 field season will be incorporated into the existing robot to enable Nomad to find meteorites on the blue ice.
