The Robotics Institute Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburgh, PA - 15213 I am a graduate student at the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon Univ. and am currently in my fifth year of the Robotics Ph.D. program.
About me:Before coming to CMU, I got an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi (IITD), India. I also have a Master's degree from the Mech. Engg. department at CMU.
I work at the Field Robotics Center (FRC), and the National Robotics Engineering Consortium (NREC), two of the many laboratories at the Robotics Institute.

Lunar Rover Initiative: This is a program at FRC to send a rover to the moon, the rover development and launch being funded only by commercial interests.
Autonomous Loading System: This is my latest project, and will be the basis of my thesis research. It is a project funded by Caterpillar Inc. and involves developing technologies for autonomous mass excavation.
I started practising Ashtanga Yoga a couple of years ago. I take yoga classes in Pittsburgh at the Yoga Sadhana Studio in the South Side.
Most Indian names have a meaning. My name means "a flute" (Yup! The musical instrument...)
