On the Paradoxes of Rational Choice
(Addendum to an Unwritten Manuscript)

Rational choice. Is there such a thing?
If all decisions are uncertain, and reality
is never what we expect? If life is a game with
constantly changing rules; if the other players
are unpredictable, and we cannot even be
certain they exist? If small variations
lead to large fluctuations; if we cannot control even
our immediate surroundings? If the choice we make today
with yesterday's news and tomorrow's vision, bears no
resemblance to the choice we will make tomorrow with
new news and a new vision?

Paradoxes of rational choice? Rational choice is itself
a paradox.
