I am a first year master student at Language Technologies Institute, School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University.I am being advised by Prof. Carolyn Rose.My research interests include machine learning and information retrieval. I would be working with Elijah Mayfield who is another member in the same research group. I would be working on discourse analysis with special focus in areas pertaining with discourse summarization.

It was an amazing contest where we spent the night coding and coming up with a possible business plan for a startup in the area of tourism.While we didn't win the contest it was fun to code and compete in category of applications targeted towards many aspects of social networking through the web.It was a great experience for me as I had the chance of looking into the managerial aspects which are involved in launcing a product and the sort of costs involved in IT.The entire application utilizes ajax, searchmonkey, flickr and yahoo maps.The UI is self explanatory and easy to use.And last of all, thanks Sudhir, Toni, Megha, Kaustav and Leena for making me a part of your team.It was really fun to give this idea a shape by working throughout the night amidst playing rock music(Rammestien) and flurry of pizzas(Stopped counting after I reached a personal best of 3 :) ).I am posting a link to the application here.Do not expect me to put documentation and manual for using it(read: figure out yourself fellas).
