OVERVIEW
- This is a page about the research of Qi He, a project scientist,
Carnegie Mellon University. His research
interest lies in cryptography and network security, especially in public key
cryptosystems and their applications over the Internet.
- Being interested in design and analysis of security protocols,
his work mainly involves research and development on:
electronic payment system,
electronic voting system,
and
public key infrastructure (pki)
& virtual private network (vpn), etc..
- Hacking network and systems code, he designed and developed a
Remote Router Monitor
for high performance network resource management (Sep., 1998).
- Loving Java programming, he drinks Java every day for his
Security Agent: Agent-Based Public-Key Infrastructure
.

SOFTWARE
- Remote Monitor
, a tool for
high-performance networking. With a GUI, it enables user to remotly perfrom the router network

The development is supported by DOD and it has been used and evaluated on the DARPA wide area
test network, CAIRN
. The latest version (C/TclTk, for FreeBSD) was released in Jan. 1999.
- e-KQML
, an extended KQML package (in Java) which can be used for
public key certificate management (apply/issue, sign/verify certificate etc), and agent secure
communication (encryption, decryption, integrity verification).
