The purpose of this exhibit is to show the effects of different drags of fluids on certain objects. To achieve this, we chose a racing car to observe the drag in different fluids. At the beginning, the racing car would be placed at the starter. When a child would trigger the starter, the car would travel along a U-shaped course through a clear tunnel filled with fluids. The car would increase in speed as it move down a hill. Then the car would travel horizontally through the tunnel until it reached a vertical turn. As the kinetic energy of the car transferred to potential energy, the car would reach certain height and then descend along the course. Finally, the car would stop and the child could carry it to the starter again. The greatest height once the car is released would be recorded. Then the drags in different fluids could be compared along with the height recorded in each fluid.
