The purpose of this experiment would demonstrate how pressure is built up in a volcano, thus causing it to explode and erupt. Children using this exhibit would be able to interact with the exhibit by means of a pump which would add pressure gradually to the volcano. Then the child could witness the accumulation of pressure and experience an eruption simulation.
The structure of this exhibit would basically resemble a volcano with a built-in pump which would increase the pressure gradually in the volcano.
