THE POLICE CHASE

The POLICE CHASE is based on the design of a classic NYC police vehicle with a blinking siren on the roof of the car. Children will learn about the properties of storing energy and the motion change due to the placement of the wheels. I imagine the siren to have a blinking red light that also gleams at the bottom of the car to give an external lighting effect. When winding the siren on the roof, the car stores potential energy and releases its kinetic energy when the child release the siren. Also, an indicator will set off the blinking red light when the car is in motion. The vehicle moves in a circular motion because the front wheels are left shifted to the side. This toy is designed for children ranging from ages 3 till about 10 and is targeted towards young boys who are fascinated with police cars. The toy is fairly safe because the contents would be entirely made up of plastic except for the red light and would have a cost ranging from 7-10 dollars in the toy stores.
