Howdy!
I am a Masters candidate at LTI , School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon.
My advisor is Professor Alexander Rudnicky. I work at the intersection of NLP, ML and AI. At the Lab for Advanced Conversational Systems, I make robots understand humans.
I am interested in applied-ML, Intelligent agents and scalable NLP problems. I hope to see computers match human intelligence in my lifetime (too dreamy? Yes and No).

I am a proud tambrahm from Chennai! Over time, I am fortunate to have worked on interesting NLP and ML projects. The specific problems I work on are multimodal parsing, dialog systems for social robots, natural language understanding, distributional semantics and pattern detection. Look at my research page.
Right before grad-life, I spent some time working in Juniper Networks on Network Management apps. Before that, I spent 4 fun-filled undergrad years at the scenic MIT Manipal. Prior to that, I enjoyed 15 glorious years of schooling in the never to be forgotten PSBB Chennai.
I absolutely love Indian music (classical and filmi)! Check out some of my vocal performances. Also, I worship AR Rahman and believe that Hugh Laurie is an extraterrestrial genius!
