Converting Boring PowerPoint index files.
If you use "export to html" from powerpoint you get a really boring index
file. fixindex97 will
snazify your index file by adding thumbnail images of your slides to your
index file. Check
out an example.
Things you will need:
-
fixindex97the conversion
script
-
A unix based OS (I think)
-
Powerpoint 97 to produce the HTML
-
perl
-
If you want automatically generated thumbnails, you will also need the
PPM utilities.
Installation
-
Get the script
-
Change the path in the first line to point to your perl (version 5) interperter
if it isn't in /usr/local/bin/perl5
Running the script
Run fixindex97 -h.
It will tell you everything you need to know (at least about using fixindex97).
