For my Ph.D, I developed algorithms to automatically compute a
digital model of a dynamically changing physical event, such as a
baseball swing or a basketball throw, by imaging it from a number of
different video cameras. A complete 4D space-time geometric model
(such as seen on the left) allows us to re-render a scene from
arbitrary positions and times. My advisor was Prof. Takeo Kanade

My work is part of the Virtualized Reality lab at Carnegie Mellon. We develop advanced research techniques to automatically create virtual models of real actions. For this purpose, we have built a multi-camera 3D Room to capture and digitize image sequences from various positions. Click on the image to go to the lab homepage. |
