• Our submission in VLDB 2007 got accepted
  Our submission, which studies the work sharing vs. parallelism trade-off in the highly parallel chip multiprocessors, has been accepted for publication in VLDB 2007.
  VLDB 2007 is held in Vienna, Austria in September 2007.
  
  

• Nikos presented the CIDR 2007 paper
  Nikos presented the CIDR 2007 paper. This paper studies the performance of database systems when running in chip multiprocessors (CMPs).
  CIDR 2007 was held in Asilomar, CA in January 2007.
  
  

• Our Demo at ICDE 2006 won the Best Demo Award!!
  We demonstrated QPipe in Atlanta. In particular, through a java GUI we presented how the various components cooperate with each other forming the QPipe engine. We presented how the queries are decomposed to packets, and those packets queue up in the corresponding stages. Finally, we showed how QPipe at runtime detects work and data sharing opportunities and simultaneously output the results to the buffers of all the intersted parties.
