I am a final-year Ph.D. student studying
Computer Science
at Carnegie Mellon University. At CMU, I work with
Prof. Garth Gibson and I am
affiliated to the Parallel Data Lab (PDL).
My current research is on building data-intensive systems for
scalable computing and storage infrastructure for next-generation
technologies; specifically, I am interested in:
-
Emerging confluence of file systems and databases for building highly
scalable storage systems for high-performance computing (HPC) and cloud
computing.
-
Novel systems for future storage technologies such as shingled disks (with
a strong interest in extending this to new CPU and interconnect technology)
Generally, I am interested in experimental computer systems driven by
challenges posed by the interaction of storage, distribution and computation
in real-world systems.
