Start up the tornado GUI from Programs/Tornado/Tornado

The tornado menu option names options are from memory, and may not be exactly
as I have given them below.

Start the target server with Utilities/Target server/Configure (on tornado
menu.)  On the dialog that comes up, click the "Launch" button.

A white on black window will pop up, showing the target server output.  If
you are not on the net, there is a ~3 minute pause partway through the spew.
You can't proceed to the next step until this completes.  You can iconify this
window.

Launch the debugger window with Utilities/Debugger.  Load the object file:
  load f:/cs.cmu.edu/project/tmr/bin/i486vx5.3/visionsys.ro

Iconify the debugger.

Launch a shell with Utilities/Shell.

In the shell window, run the startup script:
  <f:/cs.cmu.edu/project/tmr/src/components/wpvs/vxworks/host-run.vx

The shell will behave pretty much like the telnet window does when using the
target shell.

You can examine global variables in gdb at any time.  In order to look at
the stack or run a function, you must "attach" to the task.  Use the 
Debug/Attach tornado menu option.  This will stop the task from running.
To allow it to run again, use Debug/Detach

When you need to reboot, kill the debugger window by quit or clicking on the
upper right X option.  Kill the target server by 
Utilities/Target server/Manage.  In the dialog, select "Kill" as the action.
Click the "apply" button.  Click "yes" on the confirm.  Wait until the status
window changes to something about a WTX error.  Click the "close" button
on the dialog.

Go back to the starting the target server instruction.  You don't need to
kill and restart the shell, it will restart itself.

The gdb "path" command may work as a way to tell the system where to find 
source files so that source locations can be displayed.  The "frame" command 
will refresh the debug location in the source window if you have scrolled
it off the screen.

Breakpoints don't seem to work.  If there is much output spewing on the 
console, the print command won't work either.  If the window horizontally 
scrolls, try printing something to get it back.
