Notes The Sacajawea class Scout Cruiser is a long-range, high-speed patrol and reconnaissance vessel designed around the latest generations of GSN/RMN “Ghost Rider” EW/ECM, “Impeller-Squared” and fission/fusion power technologies. The full suite of sixteen Beta² and eight Alpha² nodes give it absolute wedge and sail strength–and sidewalls–fully the equal of the “Steadholder” class BC, and normal- and hyper-space acceleration and maneuverability superior to that of the latest-generation RMN courier boats.
The sensor and stealth suites installed in this class are identical in size and capacity to those of the GSN’s Jason Alvarez-class CA, and when combined with the Ghost Rider drones and DD-grade sensor suites aboard the deployed recon craft and fifth-generation grav-pulse communicators, give the ship a potential real-time detection range of well over a light-day.
The Survey Crew, including the complements of the Blackbird recon craft, is drawn from the operator’s Naval Intelligence Corps in wartime; from their Astrographics Bureau or similar civilian service in peacetime. The Marine Complement is one Grayson Marine platoon.
Ships will be named for explorers/scouts from Old Earth’s North America
